I liked this short freebie futuristic 'romance', but while the world building was really good there just wasn't time to do much character development of the leading man or his relationship with the heroine, who is better fleshed out. Which is a shame because he was really intriguing as a former genetically enhance super soldier who is now a 'mailman' a role which provides some glue to the crumbling society. I liked the idea of futuristic utopians sending agents back to a time that is still in our future and in which society has broken down and those time agents are sent to make sure that key events still occur order to protect their present from the past.
